Introduction
CATIC is New England’s largest domestic and only Bar-Related title insurance underwriter. They currently implement an application that facilitates the title search ordering process that is used by thousands of Agents, Associates and Independent Paralegals. The current platform they use to manage title searches is outdated and lacks many features that stakeholders feel are necessary to make the process complete.

Research
First step was to look at the current platform and what it offered. The platformis split into three portions: the "User Portal", "Searcher Maintenance", and the "Searcher Portal". The User Portal is where the users who are contracted for title searches manage their work. The Searcher Portal is where customers search for those users for their title insurance underwriting needs. The Searcher Maintenance section is where internal CATIC users maintain the database of agents, associates, and independent paralegals.

- Increase in number of contractors signing up to the platform
Outcome
Feedback & Iterations
A first round flow of the experience was mocked up with wireframes, which were then presented to stakeholders for feedback. The platform was fairly straightforward and many of the changes to the wireframes were more data related. The feedback loop allowed for quick iteration on the content and flow of the experience, giving stakeholders visibility into the designs to follow.
Visual Solution
The redesigned platform is a huge update to what was previously used. The visual design is consistent across all three different portions of the platform, conveying a much more professional experience to internal CATIC employees as well as their customers and contractors. The updated "Searcher Maintenance" also makes it much easier manage the database of contractors.
